PRAISE TO PROMETHEUS OF KALOLIMNOS AND THE
CHARDOUCHIANS OF XENOPHON
Few
in Europe know that the first book editions by way of Gutenberg in Paris (1471)
were made by the then dean of Sorbonne G. Fisse, friend, fellow and partner of
Vissarion from Trapezounta. The books were referring to the classical Greeks
and a text of Vissarion with regards to the Ottoman Turks. This great humanist,
this great European father fought for three decades to build an alliance of the
peoples of Asia Minor, Mesopotamia, Caucasus, Persia against the Ottoman
invasion. A great ally of his was the ruler of the ancient Amida, of Amed. His
wife was Catherine Despina Komnène, Princess of Trapezounta. They lived as a
couple, herself with the education and culture of a Trapezountian Christian
Princess and himself as an enlightened Muslim. Komnène spent her last years and
died in a Christian monastery she built. One day, a new governor of Amed will
honor the memory of this unbeknown great lady.
Vissarion
from Trapezounta was the one who alerted a warning to the world regarding the
destructiveness of the Ottoman Turkish Islam and history proved him right...
Father
of all those historical processes, the winds of freedom, democracy, and
brotherhood of peoples is Abdullah Ocalan and his companionship of comrades,
who started from the Political Sciences Faculty of Ankara decided to establish
a different relationship with the peoples’ history of the region. I am proud to
have met some of them such as captain Cuma, Cemil Bayık. I wonder why Harvard,
Cambridge, Thessaloniki Aristotle University are not inviting him for a
lecture. Science is either free or it is not science at all. It was the great
humanist Olof Palme, who invited to
Stockholm a great leader and the poet Amilkal Cabral. Has he been still alive,
we would elect him President of the United States of Europe. Currently, one has
no one to elect…
We
observe for years the littleness, cynicism, hypocrisy of national and
international institutions. The transformation of the hypocritical rhetoric
about human rights in trade and economic agreements. Racist Turkey knows this
weakness of theirs…
The
hereby locals wore scarves in the stadium. At the same time in Kurdia the death
machine was at a high level of performance. It seems that they consider it
ethnic cleansing, not genocide, hence they did not speak. Here where voice was
given birth, Logos, the dominant CRIME IS THAT OF SILENCE. However, all these
behaviors, immoralities, dehumanization, are now besides the flow of history.
They are in contrast to the current social, economic, historical dynamics. They
belong to the dustbin of a particularly insidious and cruel colonialism which
invented geopolitically this state-monster. Racist Turkey is conscious of its
own end...
There
is a multilateral issue of concern. It concerns much more us the Greeks, the
Greek Republic, the Hellenic Armed Forces. How is an army that fought Fascism
and Nazism in Northern Epirus, Crete, in Gorgopotamos, Makrynoros, El Alamein,
Rimini, able to coexist with a racist army that makes war with women and kids
in Kurdia? That rapes and murders young women like Kevser Eltourk. Why not a
single official of the UN, EU, NATO, is not visiting her parents? Was NATO
eventually founded to rape women or to protect the rapists? Why are the
combatants of women (gynaikomachi) and kids (paidomachi) not expelled from
NATO? Why aren’t they sent to the International Criminal Court in The Hague? As
stated by its former president Carla Del Ponte...
We
should start with the protagonist of history, the first person of the Tragedy.
Prometheus of Kalolimnos, Abdullah
Öcalan. The one who got history on his shoulders. In 1997, while speaking at
the University of Thessaloniki I suggested his invitation to Greece from a
University or a Municipality. I even discussed it with the Dean of the
University. If that had happened back then, while followed by other University
and Municipalities invitations from other European cities, when the emergency
situation of 1999 emerged, his arrival in Europe would be a routine process.
My
view is well known, that politics is prediction,
prologue. I had a policy, a grand policy for the New Eastern Question, leading
the Kurdish issue in the EU, in international institutions, in the UN. Others
went to the jungles of Africa, and in İmralı. The decision was made in
Washington and after adventurous journeys in many capitals and jungles and in a
manner unhistorical and unnatural from the non-Athens it ended-up in the island
prison, in Gulag of Propontis.
I
spoke about these issues in the façade court in Athens. I was impressed that both
the President and the Prosecutor of the Court were with us. I would recommend
to the Kurdish friends to publish my text in Kurdish...
After
Öcalan, the tragic duo for Greece, Giorgakis (Papandreou) - Simitis
surrendered, refouled even more agonists in agreement with Cem. The Cem list.
Even a Pontian student of Panteion University, political refugee from
Trapezounta they tried to submit. Instead of immigrant relocation, they were
“relocating” agonists...
Today,
we can create a global, ecumenical movement for the liberation of Abdullah
Öcalan. Much greater than the one developed for the inmate for decades to
another island, Robben Island, Nelson Mandela. Greater than the one developed
for the release of Alexandros Panagoulis.
I
reset one of my proposals. In September we can take the road of the old
Argonauts. This time will be not only from all over Greece, but from the whole
planet. Starting from Lemnos and Samothrace, we will sail towards the
Hellespont, Propontis, Kalolimnos. Argonauts for the liberation of Abdullah
Öcalan, the Prometheus of Kalolimnos, father of the future Asia Minor Republic.
It
is Abdullah Öcalan who can guarantee peace, brotherhood, Democracy. A new
institutional architecture that respects and expresses the humans, the people,
the places of Asia Minor. One that mainly respects human life. In racist Turkey
life has no value. What is said about it by the Comecon, pardon me, Commission?
The enemy of political, religious and ideological totalitarianism and
fundamentalism of all forms is the Democratic Kurdish National Identity...
I
would like, however, from you dear Demirtas, to ask two questions, to pose two
issues in the Parliament in Ankara. One is why did they seek – plan to
assassinate me. The second question: I would like my letter to Erdogan when he
visited Athens to be read and shared. It is included in my book in Turkish
titled «PONTOS - ANTİK BİR KİMLİĞİN DÖNÜSÜ», which I offer you. The letter is
entitled «Where are your 353.000 neighbors Tayip?», «
Tayip Senin 353.000 Komsuların Nerede Kayıp?».
I refer to the great fathers of Asia Minor, Europe. Back then when Pontos,
Trepezounta was one of the cultural centers of the world. Now it is death
lab...
